  • The multi-speed gearbox offers flexibility for different soils.

  • DTM paint and twin-faced seals improve durability.

New Holland, the agricultural equipment brand under CNH Industrial, has expanded its agricultural implement portfolio in India with the launch of its new HD and XHD Series Rotary Tillers. The newly introduced rotavator range has been developed to meet the growing demand for durable and efficient soil preparation equipment across different farming regions in the country.

The new rotary tillers are manufactured at New Holland’s Pune production facility and were officially unveiled during an event held at the company’s Greater Noida location. The launch was attended by senior company officials, including Narinder Mittal, President and Managing Director of CNH India.

Focus on Growing Mechanisation Demand

The introduction of the HD and XHD Series comes at a time when Indian agriculture is witnessing increasing adoption of mechanised farming solutions. Farmers and agricultural operators are looking for equipment that can deliver higher efficiency, better performance, and longer service life while working in varied soil conditions.

According to Tarun Khanna, Director of Marketing (AG) India at New Holland, the demand for reliable mechanisation solutions continues to grow as farmers seek equipment capable of improving productivity and maintaining performance under demanding field conditions.

Designed for Deep Tillage Operations

The new rotary tiller range has been engineered to deliver improved soil preparation and deeper tillage performance. One of the key features of the HD and XHD Series is a high swing diameter design that allows deeper soil penetration and effective conditioning of the field.

This capability helps farmers prepare land more efficiently for sowing while improving soil structure for better crop establishment.

Multi-Speed Gearbox for Greater Flexibility

To support operations across different soil types and field conditions, the new rotary tillers are equipped with a multi-speed gearbox. This feature enables operators to adjust the machine according to specific cultivation requirements, providing greater flexibility during field operations.

The gearbox design helps ensure optimal tillage performance whether the equipment is being used in lighter soils or tougher field environments.

Enhanced Durability and Protection

New Holland has also focused on improving the durability of the new implement range. The HD and XHD Series rotary tillers feature Metal Twin-Faced seals that help prevent water ingress into the rotor hub. This reduces the risk of premature component wear and supports longer machine life, particularly in wet operating conditions.

In addition, the machines use DTM paint technology, which is designed to improve resistance against corrosion. This added protection is expected to be beneficial for farmers working in moisture-prone regions where equipment is frequently exposed to water and harsh field conditions.

Strengthening New Holland’s Implement Portfolio

With the launch of the HD and XHD Series Rotary Tillers, New Holland aims to strengthen its presence in the agricultural implement segment while addressing the evolving requirements of Indian farmers. The combination of deeper tillage capability, operational flexibility, corrosion protection, and enhanced durability is intended to support efficient farming operations across diverse agricultural landscapes.

The introduction of these Pune-built rotary tillers reflects the company's continued focus on delivering specialised machinery solutions that can meet regional farming needs and contribute to improved field productivity.
