The Massey Ferguson 7250 Challenger is powered by a 3-cylinder, 2700 cc engine that produces 50 HP. The engine features an inline fuel injection pump, which ensures efficient fuel supply and combustion. This setup provides high torque backup, allowing the tractor to handle heavy implements like cultivators, ploughs, trailers, and threshers with ease. The engine is designed for long working hours while maintaining fuel efficiency, which is important for Indian farmers managing large fields or commercial transport tasks.
The tractor achieves a maximum forward speed of 34.87 km/h, which helps save time during haulage and transport work. It features a Constant Mesh transmission system with 8 Forward and 2 Reverse gears, offering flexibility for various field and road conditions. The Dual Clutch setup enhances implement operation and transmission efficiency, making PTO-related work smoother and providing better control for the operator.
The Massey Ferguson 7250 Challenger is equipped with RPTO (Reverse PTO) and a six-splined shaft, delivering 540 RPM at 1735 ERPM. This ensures smooth operation of PTO-driven implements such as rotavators, threshers, reapers, and water pumps. The PTO system supports efficient fuel use and improves productivity during farming operations.
The tractor’s hydraulic system offers a lifting capacity of 1800 kgf, allowing it to handle heavy implements efficiently. It includes an auxiliary pump with a two-way double-acting spool valve, which is beneficial for loader operations and trolley tipping work. The advanced hydraulics provide smooth lifting and lowering, supporting applications like cultivators, MB ploughs, and seed drills.
For operator comfort, the Massey Ferguson 7250 Challenger features Power Steering for easy maneuverability and oil-immersed brakes for improved safety and control. Pendant type clutch and brake pedals further enhance comfort, making the tractor practical for long hours of both farming and haulage work.
The tractor measures 3610 mm in length, 1747 mm in width, and 2350 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1930 mm. It weighs 2110 kg, providing stability during fieldwork and transport. The 7.5 x 16 front tyres and 14.9 x 28 rear tyres offer good grip and traction on various terrains, including wet soil and rough roads. A heavy-duty front bumper with a tow hook enhances its hauling capability.
The Massey Ferguson 7250 Challenger comes with a 60-liter fuel tank, enabling longer working hours without frequent refueling. This is especially useful during peak farming seasons and for commercial transport tasks that require continuous operation.
This tractor is considered multipurpose, suitable for both agricultural and commercial applications. Its strong engine, advanced hydraulics, and durable structure make it reliable for daily heavy-duty operations. The Massey Ferguson 7250 Challenger is compatible with a wide range of implements and is designed to deliver consistent performance in fieldwork and transportation. Its balance of power, fuel efficiency, and comfort make it a practical choice for Indian farmers in the 50 HP segment.
