Mahindra Truck and Bus (MTBD), a key player in India’s commercial vehicle market, has expanded its reach with a new dealership in Kolkata. Operated by M/s. Avighna Automotive Pvt Ltd, this dealership is the 86th for MTBD and will serve customers across West Bengal with a full suite of services. The facility spans 40,000 square feet and offers 14 service bays capable of handling more than 28 vehicles daily. Customers can access the full range of Mahindra products, including heavy commercial vehicles (HCVs), intermediate commercial vehicles (ICVs), light commercial vehicles (LCVs), and buses.
The new Kolkata dealership goes beyond traditional services by offering amenities such as 24-hour breakdown assistance, driver lodging, and AdBlue availability. This facility supports Mahindra’s commitment to customer satisfaction with quick and efficient service.
Mahindra Truck and Bus has seen significant growth, achieving over 46% growth in business volume for fiscal year 2024. Vinod Sahay, President of MTBD, highlighted this success, stating, “We’re proud of MTBD’s strong presence in India’s commercial vehicle sector, holding the No. 3 position across several segments. Our new dealership will set high standards for service, backed by the reliability of our BLAZO X, FURIO, OPTIMO, JAYO ILCV, and CRUZIO bus range, all known for exceptional fuel efficiency and reliability.”
The MTBD vehicles come equipped with iMAXX, Mahindra’s advanced telematics solution that monitors fuel usage, driver behavior, and vehicle health. Jalaj Gupta, Business Head of MTBD, stated, “Our vehicles are designed to provide superior fluid efficiency, ensuring maximum value for our customers. We stand by our “Zyada Mileage Nahin toh Truck wapas” mileage guarantee, offering unmatched assurance to our customers.”
Mahindra’s trucks offer double service guarantees, ensuring best-in-class fuel efficiency and uptime. If a vehicle is not back on the road within 48 hours following a breakdown, MTBD compensates customers Rs. 1,000 per day. Similarly, for workshop turnaround delays beyond 36 hours, customers receive Rs. 3,000 per day. This focus on customer service and innovation has made MTBD a trusted name in the industry.
To further enhance customer support, Mahindra Truck and Bus has partnered with Ramkrishna Mission Institute to establish a training center in Belur Math. Over the past six years, this center has trained more than 1,100 technicians. Additionally, a Fast Response Center in Kolkata, operational for 12 years, ensures timely spare part supplies, supporting MTBD's extensive network.
Mahindra’s latest expansion in Kolkata aims to strengthen its market presence in West Bengal and deliver a seamless experience for customers, transporters, and drivers alike.
Mahindra Truck and Bus’s new dealership in Kolkata highlights its commitment to superior customer service, advanced technology, and efficient solutions. By expanding its network, offering robust service guarantees, and investing in technician training, MTBD aims to strengthen its presence in West Bengal, ensuring reliability and convenience for its valued customers.
