Key Highlights:
Mahindra Logistics and Sangti Solutions Pvt. Ltd., an AI-powered sustainability firm, announced a technological partnership that would provide Emission Analytics to innovate and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations.
The cooperation, which focuses on Scope 3 climate pollution, will provide carbon emission KPIs for industries such as auto, telecom, e-commerce, manufacturing, and white goods spanning full truck load, half truck load, warehousing, and cross-border solutions.
Leadership Insights
Rampraveen Swaminathan, MD and CEO of Mahindra Logistics, stated, "The logistics business has an undeniable impact on our globe. In India, where freight movement is mainly reliant on road transportation, collaboration between shippers, logistics service providers, technology start-ups, and other stakeholders is required to help the country meet its Nationally Determined Contribution. To reduce carbon intensity to 45% of India's GDP by 2030, revolutionary changes are required. India is still a member of the Voluntary Carbon Market, so there is a possibility to speed this transformation.
Our engagement with Sangti demonstrates the business sector's commitment to improving market confidence and supporting long-term efforts. We believe that this collaboration will help our partners accomplish their carbon neutrality goals more quickly, resulting in good air quality, health, and well-being for today and tomorrow."
According to Hitesh Bhuraia, Co-founder and CEO of Sangti Solutions Pvt. Ltd., "Together, we are confident in achieving our shared objective of delivering "low carbon" solutions to Mahindra Logistics customers, thereby helping them reduce their Scope 3 emissions."
Commitment to Net Zero
This partnership is a smart move towards Mahindra Logistics' goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2040. It aligns with their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments and supports the broader objective of developing green supply chains.
The company’s green logistics ecosystem includes carbon-neutral warehousing, sustainable transportation practices, an EV fleet for last-mile delivery, plantation initiatives, energy efficiency improvements, and advancements in alternate fuels like LNG and hydrogen.
Automated System for Efficiency
The collaboration will feature a fully automated system via a SaaS platform, accredited by the Global Logistics Emission Council (GLEC) and ISO 14083.
This user-friendly system will integrate seamlessly into existing logistics and supply chain management processes, accessible through both web and mobile devices, providing a centralized interface for efficient data management.
