Mahindra Last Mile Mobility (MLMM) has set a new benchmark in the electric commercial vehicle market by selling more than 10,000 electric vehicles (EVs) in August 2025. This remarkable achievement marks a 75% year-over-year growth in its L5 category, highlighting the company’s strong role in accelerating EV penetration across India.
Mahindra’s impressive sales in August underline its dominance in the segment. The company recorded:
Over 10,000 EVs sold in August 2025 alone
40.7% market share in the L5M EV category for August
36.9% market share in L5 EVs year-to-date
2.7 lakh cumulative EV sales, with the last 1 lakh sold in just 15 months
38.2% overall share in L5 electric 3-wheelers YTD FY26
Mahindra LMM has been a consistent leader in electric commercial vehicles for the past three fiscal years. By investing in EV technology as early as 2018, especially in the L5 segment, Mahindra created a strong foundation and inspired both start-ups and established OEMs to focus on electric mobility solutions.
Mahindra offers a wide range of electric vehicles catering to both cargo and passenger needs:
Cargo EVs: e-Alfa Cargo, Zor Grand, Treo Zor, Treo Yaari, and the Mahindra Zeo 4-wheeler
Passenger EVs: Treo, Treo Yaari, and e-Alfa Plus
The Mahindra Treo has been a game-changer, crossing the milestone of 1 lakh domestic sales. To mark this success, the company recently introduced a Treo Limited Edition, restricted to just 1,500 units.
Mahindra LMM is not just selling vehicles but also building customer trust through impactful campaigns and initiatives. The #MainAzaadHoon and #TreoNeLifeBanaDi campaigns highlighted how Mahindra Treo transformed the lives of over 1.3 lakh customers by providing affordable, sustainable, and profitable mobility.
Through its UDAY NXT program, the company is extending benefits like ₹20 lakh accidental insurance and ensuring representation for marginalized driver groups, further strengthening customer confidence.
A Mahindra LMM spokesperson said, “Our journey in electrification started much earlier than many in the industry. This milestone reflects the trust our customers place in Mahindra EVs. With a wide range of products and strong after-sales support, we continue to enable sustainable, profitable, and reliable mobility solutions.”
Mahindra LMM aims to continue expanding its leadership in the electric commercial vehicle segment. By focusing on vehicle performance, driver comfort, service accessibility, and profitability, the company is committed to driving India’s shift toward green and sustainable mobility.
