The Mahindra Group has announced the launch of “SOAR: Seamless Opportunity for Amazing Returnships”, a program designed to promote workplace inclusivity by offering full-time roles to women professionals returning to their careers after a break.
SOAR program is for women with at least five years of work experience. It is available in all Mahindra Group companies. SOAR is a unique programme aimed at helping women professionals resume their careers after a break.
Objective of SOAR
The SOAR initiative aims to provide a platform for women who have taken a career break of 6 months to 3 years, helping them re-establish their careers in full-time roles. With structured onboarding, mentorship, and long-term engagement, Mahindra seeks to position itself as a top choice for women professionals looking to make a comeback.

Key Features of SOAR
1. Full-Time Roles
Participants are offered mainstream full-time roles matching their prior experience, enabling them to contribute effectively from the start.
2. Job Sharing and Part-Time Options
For roles requiring flexibility, participants can opt for part-time or job-sharing arrangements with prorated compensation.
3. Streamlined Recruitment Process
Job opportunities are listed on a dedicated SOAR webpage, and recruitment is managed by sector-specific teams for seamless hiring.
4. Customized Induction Program
Participants receive mentorship, targeted upskilling, and personalized support to rebuild confidence and stay updated with industry trends.
Engagement and Mentorship
Buddy System: Participants are paired with a female colleague for six months to ensure on-ground support.
Senior Mentorship: Female mentors outside the reporting hierarchy provide guidance for six months, creating relatable and valuable connections.
Cohort-Based Engagement: Group-based engagement programs promote peer learning and camaraderie.
Ongoing Feedback and Governance
To ensure success, the program includes regular performance reviews at intervals of 30, 60, and 90 days, as well as at 6 months and 12 months. Sector CHROs and managers will conduct periodic assessments for up to two years to ensure participants’ growth and engagement.
