Magenta Mobility Launches Electric Vehicle Operations in Jaipur

Magenta Mobility, a leading electric mobility solutions provider, has launched its operations in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Initially, the company plans to deploy 200 electric vehicles (EVs) in the city, aiming to expand the fleet to 300 EVs by December 2024.

New Depot and Job Opportunities

As part of its expansion, Magenta will set up a new hub-and-spoke depot with parking capacity for 100 EVs, supported by its own 3.3 kW Penta chargers. 

Additionally, the company plans to hire over 200 local delivery executives to help manage its operations. Collaborations with companies such as Shadowfax, Dmart, Porter, Garage, and Flipkart will improve mid- and last-mile delivery services throughout Jaipur.

Growing Demand for EVs in Jaipur

Jaipur is becoming an important player in the electric vehicle logistics market. The city is experiencing a growing demand for eco-friendly delivery solutions, particularly in e-commerce, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), and pharmaceuticals. This makes it a strategic location for Magenta's expansion.

A Step Towards Sustainable Urban Logistics

Magenta Mobility’s Founder and CEO, Maxson Lewis, emphasized the significance of entering Jaipur, stating it is a crucial step in promoting urban logistics through electric mobility. He believes Jaipur will be central to the company's growth strategy.

Currently, Magenta operates more than 2,500 EVs in 18 cities, including Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. It completes over 100,000 deliveries daily and helps to reduce 905 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
