Lohia Auto has launched a new electric vehicle (EV) brand, Youdha, with a target to manufacture 300,000 units by 2027. The brand inspired by the word "warrior," celebrates the resilience of individuals who use electric three-wheelers to support their families and contribute to India's economy.

Focus on Urban and Semi-Urban Areas

Youdha focuses on providing sustainable and efficient solutions for urban and semi-urban areas, enabling drivers to achieve their aspirations. The brand reflects Lohia Auto’s commitment to empowering communities and promoting green mobility.

Manufacturing and Expansion Plans

The Youdha vehicles will be manufactured at Lohia Auto’s Kashipur facility in Uttarakhand, which has an annual production capacity of 100,000 units. This facility operates within a green belt and uses advanced Cloud ERP systems for efficient production.

To enhance its market presence, the brand aims to build a 150-dealer network by March 2025, expanding to 200 dealers by Diwali 2025. It plans to cover metropolitan, tier-2, and tier-3 cities, ensuring strong accessibility.

Youdha’s initial offerings include L5 electric vehicles:

  • E5 Passenger: Prioritizes space and efficiency for urban commutes.
  • E5 Cargo: Offers durable and reliable solutions for last-mile logistics.

These vehicles are designed to deliver performance, sustainability, and convenience for professional and personal use.

Investment and Vision

Lohia Auto plans to invest INR 200 million in product development and distribution to support Youdha's growth. The brand emphasizes a strong commitment to sustainability, aligning with India’s goals of reducing carbon emissions and promoting green mobility.
