Isuzu Motors India (IMI) has achieved a major milestone by becoming the top exporter of commercial vehicles (CVs) from India for the financial year 2024–25. According to the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the company exported 20,312 vehicles during the year. This is a 24% increase compared to the 16,329 vehicles exported the previous year. IMI, which had been among the top three exporters in recent years, has now secured the top position.

The company's manufacturing facility is located in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. From here, Isuzu supplies vehicles to both left-hand and right-hand drive markets across Asia and the Middle East. Some of the key countries where Isuzu exports its vehicles include Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Jordan.

Manufacturing Plant

The Sri City plant plays a very important role in Isuzu’s export success. Recently, the facility celebrated a major achievement by rolling out its 100,000th vehicle. It serves as a key manufacturing hub not just for exports, but also for the domestic Indian market, especially in the pickup vehicle segment. Alongside boosting exports, the company has also been focusing on expanding its sales and service network within India to make its vehicles more accessible to Indian customers.

The manufacturing plant at Sri City covers an area of 107 acres and started operations in April 2016. In February 2020, IMI began its Phase-II expansion, adding a new Press Shop and an engine assembly plant. This has helped the company strengthen its manufacturing capabilities even further. The facility is ISO 9001:2015 certified, ensuring high standards of quality in both its products and services.
