India’s tractor retail market witnessed healthy growth in April 2026. According to FADA Research, total tractor retail sales reached 75,109 units in April 2026, compared to 60,956 units in April 2025. The industry recorded strong year-on-year growth supported by steady rural demand, ongoing farm mechanisation, and improved agricultural activity across key farming regions.
The latest market share data highlights the continued dominance of the Mahindra Group, while leading OEMs such as International Tractors, Escorts Kubota, TAFE, John Deere, and CNH Industrial maintain strong market positions.
The Indian tractor industry started the new financial year on a positive note. Higher rural spending, better crop-related sentiment, and increasing mechanisation demand supported retail sales growth during April 2026.
Leading tractor manufacturers continued to hold the majority share of the market, while smaller OEMs witnessed a declining contribution to overall industry volumes.

Mahindra’s tractor division retained its leadership position in April 2026 with 16,894 units sold. The company captured a 22.49% market share. Although its market share slightly declined compared to last year, Mahindra continued to lead the industry in retail volumes.
Swaraj Division registered 14,598 units in April 2026 and improved its market share to 19.44%. The brand continued to witness strong farmer demand and recorded healthy year-on-year growth.
International Tractors Limited recorded 10,472 units during April 2026, securing a 13.94% market share. The company improved both volume and share compared to the previous year, reflecting stable market demand.
Escorts Kubota sold 8,580 units in April 2026 and achieved an 11.42% market share. The company posted strong growth and improved its market presence compared to April 2025.
TAFE registered 8,437 units with an 11.23% market share. The company maintained a stable share while recording healthy growth in retail volumes.
John Deere sold 5,287 units during April 2026 and secured a 7.04% market share. While the company recorded growth in volumes, its market share slightly declined compared to the previous year.
Eicher Tractors recorded 4,510 units in April 2026 with a 6.00% market share. The brand maintained stable market performance supported by demand in value-focused tractor segments.
CNH Industrial registered 3,864 units and improved its market share to 5.14%. The company showed notable growth compared to April 2025.
Other tractor manufacturers together accounted for 2,467 units with a combined 3.28% market share. Their contribution declined compared to last year, indicating stronger consolidation among leading tractor OEMs.
The April 2026 tractor retail data reflects strong momentum in India’s rural economy and farm equipment sector. The Mahindra Group maintained its overall market leadership through both Mahindra and Swaraj brands. International Tractors, Escorts Kubota, and CNH Industrial also strengthened their positions with improved market share. Meanwhile, the decline in smaller OEMs contribution suggests increasing consolidation in the tractor industry.
