SKG Investments Raises Rs 100 Crore for Omega Seiki Mobility, Invests in Second Tranche

Key Highlights:

  • SKG completed Rs 100 crore funding for OSM.

  • Funding was raised in two Rs 50 crore tranches.

  • SKG invested directly in the second funding tranche.

  • OSM operates in India's electric three-wheeler segment.

  • EV sales crossed 25 lakh units in FY2025-26.

SKG Investments & Advisory has successfully completed a Rs 100 crore fundraise for Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM), an Indian electric three-wheeler manufacturer. The funding was raised in two tranches of Rs 50 crore each, with the New Delhi-based advisory firm acting as the transaction advisor for both rounds.

In the second tranche, SKG Investments also invested its own capital in Omega Seiki Mobility, moving beyond its traditional advisory role and demonstrating its confidence in the company's future growth potential.

SKG Plays Dual Role as Advisor and Investor

SKG Investments & Advisory managed the transaction across both funding rounds. Its responsibilities included investor positioning, deal structuring and negotiations.

The firm's decision to participate as an investor in the second Rs 50 crore tranche is significant. The dual role of transaction advisor and co-investor is relatively uncommon in Indian financial advisory and reflects SKG's strong assessment of OSM's business and growth prospects.

Omega Seiki Mobility Focuses on Electric Three-Wheelers

Omega Seiki Mobility operates in India's electric three-wheeler passenger vehicle segment, which continues to benefit from the country's growing electric vehicle adoption.

The company is led by its Founder and Chairman, Uday Narang. OSM's promoter group also has interests in OBSC and Omega Bright Steel, providing the company with a foundation in established manufacturing businesses.

A key strength of Omega Seiki Mobility is its focus on financial discipline. The company has maintained profitability, distinguishing it from several players in the EV sector that have focused primarily on rapid expansion and growth.

India's Electric Three-Wheeler Market Continues to Grow

The latest funding comes at a time when India's electric vehicle market is expanding rapidly. EV passenger vehicle sales crossed 25 lakh units in FY2025-26, marking a 25% increase compared to the previous year.

The growth has been supported by improving total cost of ownership economics, making electric vehicles increasingly attractive for customers and commercial operators.

The three-wheeler segment has emerged as one of the early adopters of electric mobility. Electric three-wheelers are widely used for last-mile passenger transportation and goods delivery. Their comparatively lower upfront costs and favourable fleet operating economics have helped increase EV penetration in this segment.

Government policies have also supported this transition. Central and state-level incentives under the FAME scheme and its successor programmes have helped reduce the price difference between electric and internal combustion engine three-wheelers, encouraging adoption among commercial operators.
