FADA Sales Report March 2024: Three-Wheeler Retail Sales Report

•    March 2024 FADA report shows significant growth in 3-wheeler sales.

In the latest FADA Retail Sales Report for March 2024, the automotive industry witnessed a increase in sales, particularly in the 3-wheeler segment, indicating positive growth trends in the market.

In March '24, a total of 1,05,222 units of three-wheelers were sold, up by 10.86% from Feb '24 (94,918 units) and 17.13% higher than March '23 (89,837 units).

In FY24, the 3W segment sold 11,65,699 units, marking a significant growth of 48.83% compared to FY23, which saw sales of 7,83,257 units.

OEM-wise Sales Analysis

 

Bajaj Auto Leads Three-Wheeler Sales Growth in March 2024

Bajaj, a leading player in the three-wheeler OEM market, demonstrated impressive sales growth in March 2024. According to the latest report from the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), Bajaj sold 36,639 units of three-wheelers during the month. This marks a significant increase from the 32,374 units sold in March 2023.

Piaggio Vehicles Pvt. Ltd

Piaggio Vehicles Pvt. Ltd., another major player in the three-wheeler market, demonstrated substantial growth in sales for March 2024. FADA’s report revealed that Piaggio sold 9,401 units during this month, compared to 8,096 units sold in March 2023. 

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.

Mahindra, a prominent name in the automotive sector, experienced an increase in retail sales. The brand sold 8,329 units in March 2024 compared to 5,409 units in March 2023.

Y.C. Electric

Y.C. Electric sold 3,321 units in March 2024 compared to 3,099 units sold in March 2023.

OMEGA SEIKI PVT LTD

OMEGA SEIKI PVT LTD sold 2,247 units in March 2024 and acquired a market share of  2.14%, compared to 651 units sold in March 2023.

Dilli Electric Auto Pvt. Ltd.

Dilli Electric Auto Pvt. Ltd., reported a decent growth in sales for March 2024. The brand sold 2,197 units in March 2024 compared to 2,062 units in March 2023.

SAERA ELECTRIC AUTO PVT LTD

SAERA ELECTRIC AUTO PVT LTD sold 2,190 three-wheelers in March 2024 compared to 2,241 units in March 2023.

Atul Auto

Atul Auto, a leading three-wheeler company, observed a decrease in its retail sales for March 2024. With 2,173 units sold compared to 2,475 units in March 2023, the brand holds a market share of 2.07%.

TVS Motors

TVS Motors concluded March 2024 with positive sales figures in the three-wheeler segment. The brand sold 1,808 units compared to 1,517 units in March 2024.

Mini Metro

Mini Metro witnessed a marginal decline in sales for March 2024. With 1,162 units sold compared to 1,265 units in March 2023, the brand captured a market share of 1.10% .

UNIQUE INTERNATIONAL 

UNIQUE INTERNATIONAL reported a decline in sales for March 2024. With 1,075 units sold in March 2024 compared to 1,150 units in March 2023, the brand holds a market share of 1.02%. 

Three-wheeler sales increased in March 2024 to a total of 1,05,222 units compared to 89,837 units in March 2023.
