FADA, the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association has released the commercial vehicle sales data for November 2023. Commercial vehicle (CV) sales experienced a slight YoY decline of -1.82% with the total sales reaching 84,586 units in India. In comparison, the CV sales numbers reached a total number of 86,150 units last year in November.
Additionally, a 4.64% MoM decline was noted compared to 88,699 units sold in October 2023.
Commenting on the commercial vehicle sales, President of FADA, Manish Raj Singhania said, “The CV category saw a challenging Nov’23, driven by poor market sentiment. Seasonal slumps, exacerbated by unseasonal rains damaging crops and impacting transport demand, coupled with liquidity issues and delayed deliveries, further strained the industry. States going into elections also added to the woes, overshadowing the brief uplift from festive sales and the slight increase in tourism that helped in sales of buses.”
