  • ETO Motors is collaborating with government agencies, NGOs, and Uber to create an electric 3-wheeler ecosystem.
  • Over the next year, 2,000 drivers will be onboarded to support Hyderabad’s eco-friendly transport shift.
  • ETO Motors and Uber organized training for drivers to highlight the benefits of electric vehicles over diesel alternatives.

Hyderabad-based ETO Motors has introduced its ‘Drive to Own’ scheme to encourage the use of electric three-wheelers and support the city's move towards more sustainable urban transport.

In collaboration with government agencies, NGOs, and aggregators like Uber, the company aims to create an ecosystem for electric three-wheelers that will improve urban mobility and empower drivers.

The programme allows drivers to join with minimal upfront costs and offers benefits such as free vehicle maintenance and unlimited charging for the duration of ownership. This model provides financial flexibility, reduces operational costs for drivers, and supports eco-friendly transport solutions.

ETO Motors is also offering professional training in partnership with government agencies and NGOs to help drivers operate electric three-wheelers efficiently. The company plans to onboard 2,000 drivers within the next year, contributing to Hyderabad’s transition to electric vehicles.

To strengthen this initiative, ETO Motors recently partnered with Uber for a training event focusing on the benefits of electric vehicles. Drivers learned about lower operating costs, fewer emissions, and advanced technology.

The event also recognized top drivers for their contributions to electric mobility, ensuring more demand for drivers and boosting the visibility of electric three-wheelers in the city.

CMV360 Says

ETO Motors’ ‘Drive to Own’ scheme seems like a great opportunity for drivers to switch to electric three-wheelers without the usual financial burden. The idea of minimal upfront costs combined with free maintenance and unlimited charging is definitely a game-changer, especially for those looking to cut down on operational expenses.

Plus, the training programs in partnership with government bodies and Uber are a solid way to ensure drivers are well-prepared and confident in handling these vehicles. It’s good to see such efforts that could genuinely make a difference in how we think about urban transport.
