ElectriGo has officially launched its electric bus leasing platform for private bus operators in India on December 17, 2025. Along with this launch, the company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Green Energy Mobility Solutions Ltd (GEMS) to deploy 50 electric buses across key transport routes in the country.
The MoU between ElectriGo and GEMS was formalised on August 1, 2025, in Chennai. The partnership aims to speed up the commercial adoption of electric buses in public and contract transportation by offering reliable leasing, operations, and maintenance support to operators.
As part of this agreement, ElectriGo delivered the first tranche of 10 electric buses in Hyderabad on December 16. These buses will operate with complete maintenance and operational support from ElectriGo, ensuring high uptime and better fleet efficiency for the operator.
ElectriGo was launched in 2024 after emerging from Turno, India’s largest electric small commercial vehicle platform, founded in 2021 by former Zoomcar executives Hemanth Aluru and Sudhindra Reddy. The electric bus platform offers a full-stack leasing model that includes integrated charging infrastructure, proactive maintenance, real-time telematics, and battery lifecycle support. This approach helps private operators adopt electric buses without operational or financial stress.
Sudhindra Reddy Pidapa, Co-founder of ElectriGo, said the partnership reflects a shared vision for clean and cost-efficient mobility in India. He added that combining ElectriGo’s leasing model with strong on-ground operations makes electric buses accessible and commercially viable for operators across the country.
Sunil Kumar Ravindran, Director at GEMS and Ziel Mobility, highlighted that Ziel Mobility is a key operating layer within GEMS’ broader EV ecosystem. He said the focus is on real-world deployment rather than pilot projects, with an active roadmap of 200 electric buses, 150 electric trucks, and 50 electric mining machines by FY 2026–27, supported by ElectriGo’s technology-backed financing, maintenance, and battery support.
GEMS also announced the launch of Ziel Mobility, a green aggregator ecosystem focused on electric passenger buses and electric trucks. The initiative is designed to strengthen EV operations through integrated vehicles, charging solutions, and large-scale deployment.
ElectriGo currently operates in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Delhi-NCR. With its integrated services and expanding partnerships, the company aims to play a key role in accelerating electric bus adoption across India.

ElectriGo’s electric bus leasing platform marks a major step toward clean and affordable public transport in India. The MoU with GEMS and the delivery of the first 10 buses show strong on-ground execution beyond pilot projects. With integrated charging, maintenance, and battery support, ElectriGo is helping private operators shift to electric buses smoothly, while supporting large-scale EV adoption across multiple Indian states.
