The Delhi government is encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) by extending its Electric Vehicle Policy. Buyers purchasing electric three-wheelers in 2024 can now benefit from a subsidy of ₹30,000. Additionally, the policy includes road tax exemptions for EV buyers. This move aims to make EVs more affordable and eco-friendly transportation options popular in the national capital.
The subsidy of ₹30,000 will be available for all eligible electric vehicles purchased between January 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025. Under this policy:

The Electric Vehicle Policy, first introduced in 2020 for three years, was previously extended multiple times. The Delhi Cabinet has now extended the policy till March 31, 2025, likely for the last time. This extension will ensure continued subsidies and tax relief, promoting sustainable transportation options.
