The BharatBenz 1926C is a 4x2 tipper truck built for infrastructure and construction work in India. It features an 18.5-tonne gross vehicle weight and is powered by the Bharat Stage VI OM 926 engine. This model is designed to handle demanding terrains and heavy-duty applications, making it a strong choice for businesses in 2026.
The BharatBenz 1926C uses the OM 926 diesel engine, which has six cylinders and a 7,200 cc displacement. This engine delivers 256.13 horsepower (191 kW) at 2200 rpm. It produces 900 Nm of torque at low engine speeds between 1200 and 1600 rpm. This high torque output helps the truck move heavy loads from deep mines or construction sites without straining the drivetrain.
Operators can choose between two manual gearbox options: the Improved G85 6-speed or the G131 9-speed. The G131 gearbox enables the truck to achieve a maximum gradeability of 53.9 percent, making it suitable for steep inclines. Both transmissions use mechanical synchromesh and are paired with a 395 mm single dry plate hydraulic clutch for smooth gear changes.
The 1926C comes with a standard 10.5 cubic meter box body, designed to carry various aggregates and construction materials. The chassis frame measures 288 x 70 x 9 mm, providing high strength and durability. Anti-roll bars are fitted on both the front and rear axles to improve stability and reduce the risk of tipping on uneven surfaces.
The suspension system includes parabolic-type leaf springs with two hydraulic shock absorbers at the front. The rear suspension uses semi-elliptical leaf springs for better weight support. The braking system features a dual line pneumatic setup, with a foot-operated service brake and a pneumatically operated hand control valve for parking. The truck also comes with standard anti-lock braking system (ABS) and 410 mm drum brakes to maintain traction during emergency stops.
The BharatBenz 1926C is designed for lower maintenance costs and higher uptime. It offers a “High Altitude Package” that recalibrates the engine for performance in mountainous regions. The truck has a 215-litre fuel tank and a 43-litre AdBlue tank, supporting long duty cycles with fewer refueling stops. BharatBenz provides a 6-year warranty, adding long-term value for operators.
The 1926C combines strong engineering, flexible features, and advanced safety systems. These attributes make it a reliable option for construction and mining businesses in India in 2026.
