BEST: Bajaj Engineering Skills Training is an initiative started by Bajaj Auto to cooperate with India's premier universities and engineering schools to establish state-of-the-art laboratories. The program's goal is to provide engineering graduates with best-in-class training in advanced manufacturing capabilities, hence increasing their employability.

Bajaj Auto will finance the operational expenses in the initial phase of the initiative and eventually encourage these centers to become financially sustainable over time. This initiative, developed in collaboration with Banasthali Vidyapeeth in Rajasthan and Symbiosis International University in Maharashtra, will be expanded to eleven institutes.

The training centers will give advanced skill training to engineering graduates (both degrees and diplomas) and will help alleviate the manufacturing industry's skill gap. Bajaj Auto will furnish these training centres with cutting-edge equipment sourced from around the world.

"Every year, more than 12 million people enter the labor force. However, due to rapid technological advances, there is a significant gap between university and industry in preparing the youth for employment. With a history of giving back to society, we are excited to unveil our flagship CSR project, which will help to bridge this gap," stated Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto.

Mechatronics, Motion Control and Sensor Technology, Robotics and Automation, and Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing will be the emphasis of the course. The courses will provide learners with the necessary abilities, information, practice (hands-on training), and mentality to be job ready.

The curriculum will be in line with the National Occupational Standards (NOSs) of the sector's job positions. Bajaj Auto would also offer scholarships to deserving students.

"BEST (Bajaj Engineering Skills Training) has already partnered with some of India's top institutes to train engineering graduates with cutting-edge skills. The labs and program design were created by a group of Bajaj Auto top officials and engineers, demonstrating our dedication to this program. We are excited to work with industry and academia to bring this program to the deserving young of India," explained Pradeep Shrivastava, Executive Director-Bajaj Auto.
