Arnab Banerjee, Managing Director and CEO of CEAT Ltd has been elected as the new Chairman of the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers' Association (ATMA). This marks a significant shift in leadership in the Indian automotive tyre industry. This appointment signals a new chapter for ATMA. ATMA is a powerful organization that has a significant impact on India's automotive tyre industry.
ATMA represents eight major tyre companies, including a mix of Indian and international competitors, that account for more than 90% of the country's tyre output. ATMA members include industry giants such as Apollo Tyres, Bridgestone India, CEAT, Continental India, Goodyear India, JK Tyre & Industries, MRF, and TVS Tyres, demonstrating the association's enormous impact in the sector.
Arnab Banerjee's journey in the tyre industry is a story of sheer dedication and success. Arnab Banerjee joined CEAT in 2005 as Vice president of sales and Marketing, and he has held numerous positions, including Chief Operating Officer from 2018 before taking on his present role. He graduated from the Harvard Business School, IIM Kolkata, and IIT Kharagpur. He also has an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certification.
Under the leadership of Arnab Banerjee, ATMA is well positioned to continue its objective of fighting for the growth and sustainability of the tyre industry. Banerjee's extensive experience and strategic skills are expected to propel the association's activities, with a focus on innovation, industry problems, and global competitiveness.
