The government is offering a subsidy on agricultural equipment under the Krishi Yantra Anudan Yojana 2024 to support farmers in acquiring modern machinery at affordable rates. This initiative aims to boost farming productivity by providing financial assistance to farmers for purchasing agricultural machines for agriculture. The state government has started accepting applications for subsidies on seven types of agricultural equipment. Farmers who are selected through a lottery system can avail the benefits and purchase machinery at a reduced rates.

Which Agricultural Equipment is Eligible for Subsidy?

The subsidy is available for agricultural machinery commonly used for harvesting, threshing, and related farming activities. Here’s a list of the top 7 equipment for which farmers can apply:

1. Rotocultivator
2. Tractor Drawn Reaper cum Binder
3. Automatic Reaper cum Binder
4. Winnowing Fan (Tractor/Motor Operated)
5. Reaper (Automatic/Tractor Driven)
6. Multicrop Thresher and Axial Flow Paddy Thresher (Capacity less than 4 Ton)
7. Shredder/Mulcher

How Much Subsidy Will Be Provided?

Under the E-Krishi Yantra Anudan Yojana, subsidies vary based on gender, caste, and landholding categories. Farmers can receive a subsidy of 40% to 50% on these agricultural tools. To check the exact subsidy amount for the equipment you wish to purchase, you can use the subsidy calculator available on the E-Krishi Yantra Anudan portal.

Application Process and Security Deposit

To apply for the subsidy, farmers are required to submit a Demand Draft (DD) as a security deposit. The amount varies based on the equipment:

• Winnowing Fan (Tractor/Motor Operated): ₹2,000
• All other equipment: ₹5,000

If a farmer is not selected in the lottery, the security deposit will be refunded. Please note that applications without the security deposit will not be accepted.

Documents Required for the Application

Farmers need to apply online and must submit the following documents:

• Aadhaar card of the applicant
• Mobile number of the applicant
• Bank passbook copy (first page)
• Demand Draft (DD)
• Khasra/Khatauni, B-1 documents
• Tractor RC (for tractor-driven machinery)

Where to Apply for Subsidy?

Farmers in Madhya Pradesh can apply for this subsidy on the E-Krishi Yantra Anudan Portal. If you are already registered, simply log in with your Aadhaar OTP. Farmers who are not registered can visit MP Online or CSC Centers to register via biometric Aadhaar authentication and then apply for the subsidy.
