Swaraj Tractors has recently been celebrated for its significant social contribution through 'Project Pani'. This impactful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative has played a crucial role in addressing Rajasthan's water scarcity.
During a special ceremony in Udaipur, Rajasthan’s Education Minister, Madan Dilawar, presented the award to Dr. Arun Raghav, Head of HR, ER, Admin & CSR at M&M Ltd., Swaraj Division. This recognition was for the successful implementation of Project Pani in over 50 schools across the state.
Project Pani focuses on installing roof rainwater harvesting systems in government schools. This effort is part of Swaraj’s broader commitment to sustainable development and community support.
Since its launch, Project Pani has benefited 54 government schools across eight districts in Rajasthan. More than 18,000 students have gained access to safe, fluoride-free drinking water thanks to this initiative. The program has also contributed to significant savings of over INR 12.8 lakhs annually on water transportation costs and has improved student health and attendance.
Beyond Project Pani, Swaraj has been active in combating groundwater depletion in Punjab and Rajasthan since 2020. The company is working to restore traditional water ponds in disadvantaged areas, aiming to conserve 40 lakh cubic meters of water each year to support both irrigation and drinking water needs.
