The Madhya Pradesh government’s Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana has once again made headlines. This popular scheme, which offers financial help to women, is now in the news because the names of over 3.19 lakh women have been removed. These women will not receive the 23rd installment of the scheme.
Let’s understand why these names were removed, when the next installment is expected, and how you can check your name in the list.

According to reports, there are two main reasons why names were deleted from the list:
15,748 women were removed due to their deaths.
3,19,991 women were removed after they crossed 60 years of age.
As per the rules of the Ladli Behna Yojana, only women aged between 21 and 60 years are eligible. If a woman becomes ineligible or crosses the age limit, her name is automatically removed from the scheme portal. So far, lots of names have been removed under this process.
Usually, the installment under this scheme is released on the 10th of every month. Sometimes, it is released earlier, during special festivals or events. However, no early release was announced this time during Navratri.
So, it is expected that the 23rd installment will be released on 10 April 2025, as per the regular schedule.
During the recent Assembly budget session, Congress MLA Pratap Grewalraised a question about new registrations under the scheme and the promised increase in financial support to ₹3,000.
In response, Women and Child Development Minister Nirmala Bhuria stated:
There is no current plan to restart new registrations.
There is also no proposal yet to increase the installment amount.
Though Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan have previously spoken about increasing the amount, no official decision has been made yet.
