Volvo Trucks India has unveiled cutting-edge innovations at Bharat Mobility 2025, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability, safety, and efficiency in India’s logistics sector. The company introduced the FM 420 4X2 LNG tractor and the FM 4X2 tractor equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), offering transformative solutions to the challenges faced by logistics providers.

Leading the Way with LNG Technology

The FM 420 4X2 LNG tractor features High-Pressure Direct Injection (HPDI) technology, marking a breakthrough in fuel efficiency and environmental sustainabilityThe LNG engine offers better fuel economy compared to traditional spark-ignited LNG engines and is more efficient than diesel engines.

Key benefits include:

  • Reduced CO₂ emissions: A 20% reduction with LNG and up to 100% when using Bio LNG.
  • Safe operations: Spark-free technology is ideal for transporting hazardous goods.
  • Enhanced productivity: Paired with a 38 CuM tip-trailer featuring automatic tarpaulin systems, it reduces waiting times and manages high-frequency operations for industries like construction and mining.

Enhanced Safety with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)

Volvo’s FM 4X2 tractor integrates state-of-the-art safety features through ADAS, ensuring optimal safety for drivers and other road users. Its innovations include:

  • Camera Monitoring System (CMS): Replaces traditional mirrors for better visibility and aerodynamics.
  • Forward Collision Warning and Emergency Braking: Mitigate accidents by providing alerts and taking preventive action.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Departure Warning: Promote safer and smoother driving.

These technologies not only enhance safety but also improve operational efficiency, making them a valuable asset for logistics operations.

Driver Training and Fleet Efficiency Through Technology
