Volvo Trucks India has unveiled cutting-edge innovations at Bharat Mobility 2025, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability, safety, and efficiency in India’s logistics sector. The company introduced the FM 420 4X2 LNG tractor and the FM 4X2 tractor equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), offering transformative solutions to the challenges faced by logistics providers.
The FM 420 4X2 LNG tractor features High-Pressure Direct Injection (HPDI) technology, marking a breakthrough in fuel efficiency and environmental sustainability. The LNG engine offers better fuel economy compared to traditional spark-ignited LNG engines and is more efficient than diesel engines.
Volvo’s FM 4X2 tractor integrates state-of-the-art safety features through ADAS, ensuring optimal safety for drivers and other road users. Its innovations include:
These technologies not only enhance safety but also improve operational efficiency, making them a valuable asset for logistics operations.
Volvo Trucks India is also leveraging Virtual Reality (VR) and advanced telematics to empower drivers and fleet managers. Through the Volvo Connect platform, over 400 driver parameters are analyzed in real time to identify skill gaps. VR-based training modules then deliver personalized coaching, maximizing fleet performance and ensuring driver well-being.
Vinod Aggarwal, MD & CEO of VE Commercial Vehicles, stated, “Volvo Trucks has always focused on quality, safety, and environmental care. Our LNG solutions and advanced technologies allow our customers to adopt cleaner and more efficient operations without compromising productivity. This is a reflection of our commitment to driving sustainable growth in India’s commercial vehicle industry.”
Dinakar B, EVP - Sales & Marketing, Volvo Trucks India, highlighted the challenges faced by the logistics sector, including long waiting times and underutilized assets. “Our solutions, such as ADAS, LNG technology, and innovative training tools, help reduce fleet size, emissions, and costs. With the capability to cover up to 3,00,000 km annually, our LNG trucks ensure higher efficiency and longer hauls, driving operational savings for customers,” he said.
By focusing on sectors like express logistics, mineral transportation, and B2B operations, Volvo Trucks India is setting new benchmarks for sustainability and efficiency. With its advanced vehicles, data-driven operations, and innovative solutions, the company is helping India’s logistics industry transition to a cleaner, smarter future.
Volvo Trucks continues to lead the way in redefining logistics with sustainable practices, superior technology, and an unwavering commitment to safety and efficiency.
