TVS Motor Company has announced a major leadership change, appointing Peyman Kargar as its new Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Kargar, currently President of the company’s International Business, will take charge from January 27, 2027, succeeding K. N. Radhakrishnan.

K. N. Radhakrishnan to Step Down as CEO

Radhakrishnan will continue as CEO until January 27, 2027, ensuring a smooth leadership transition. After stepping down, he will remain associated with TVS Motor as a Non-Executive Director until the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in July 2027.

Chairman Sudarshan Venu said the appointment is aimed at further strengthening TVS Motor’s global position. He also acknowledged Radhakrishnan’s contribution to building the company and expanding its scale during his tenure.

Strong FY2025-26 Performance

The leadership transition comes after a strong financial year for TVS Motor. The company sold 5.9 million vehicles globally in FY2025-26, while its revenue grew by 30%.

International business has also emerged as an important growth driver. Under Kargar’s leadership, the division expanded at a 33% growth rate and now accounts for 29% of TVS Motor’s total sales volume.

Peyman Kargar’s Experience and New Priorities

Kargar brings more than 30 years of automotive industry experience across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. His experience covers product development, manufacturing, quality, sales and marketing.

As CEO, he will focus on expanding TVS Motor’s business in India and international markets, with priorities including product innovation, premiumisation and deeper penetration into developed markets. Strengthening technology capabilities and integrating artificial intelligence (AI) will also be key areas of focus.

Kargar said he intends to build on TVS Motor’s existing momentum while maintaining its core values and culture. He highlighted technology leadership, quality and customer focus as key pillars of his approach.

Meanwhile, Radhakrishnan said he will support the company during the handover and expressed confidence in TVS Motor’s position ahead of the transition.
