Tata Motors, India's leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, has unveiled a range of innovative mass mobility solutions at Prawaas 4.0, a three-day event focused on safe, smart, and sustainable transportation. The event, held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) in Bengaluru, highlights Tata Motors' commitment to modern urban mobility.
Introduction of Tata Ultra EV 7M
At the event, Tata Motors introduced the all-new Tata Ultra EV 7M, an intra-city electric bus designed for urban transportation. The 21-seater Ultra EV 7M is driven by a 213kW electric motor and an IP67-rated 200kWh Li-ion battery.
According to the company, the Ultra EV 7M is built to navigate restricted lanes and high-traffic metropolitan cities. It has a claimed range of up to 160km on a single charge and fast charging capability, allowing for a full charge in two and a half hours.
The entirely electric drivetrain is supported by innovative safety measures like as electronic braking and stability control. The bus has an Automatic Passenger Counter and a high level of safety and security thanks to its Intelligent Transport System (ITS).
Furthermore, the Ultra EV 7M includes regenerative braking technology, which improves its efficiency and range.
Tata Motors' Commitment to Sustainable Mobility
Anand S, Vice President and Head of Commercial Passenger Vehicle Business at Tata Motors, commented on the launch, saying, "Prawaas 4.0's theme of safe, smart, and sustainable mobility fully resonates with our mission. This event gives us a unique opportunity to interact with stakeholders and present our cutting-edge solutions. We are happy to present a diverse selection of exhibits that provide customized solutions in their respective areas, including our most recent product, the Ultra EV 7M, in the electric bus space.
