Tata Motors Secures 1,350 Bus Chassis Order from Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation

The Tata LPO 1618 bus chassis will be delivered to UPSRTC in a phased manner, ensuring seamless integration into the state's public transport system.

In a major development, Tata Motors, India's largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, has secured a significant order from the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) for the supply of 1,350 units of the Tata LPO 1618 diesel bus chassis. The order was secured through a rigorous and competitive e-bidding process facilitated by the Government's tendering system.

The Tata LPO 1618, is manufactured for intercity and long-distance travel and it follows the BS6 emission protocols, demonstrating Tata Motors' commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. The company asserts that the LPO 1618 offers a best-in-class total cost of ownership (TCO), combining efficiency with eco-friendliness.

Tata Motors wins this order after a competitive e-bidding process through the Government procurement process, and the bus chassis will be delivered in stages.
