Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav, DCP (Traffic) Virender Vij, and other officials went to the field to assess the verification campaign, which was carried out at five locations across the district.
"During the campaign, 795 buses were inspected in the district on Saturday, and 184 buses that did not meet the 24 points of the checklist were challaned by the RTA and the police department. This inspection of nearly 2,700 buses from 527 schools will continue on Sunday," DC Yadav said in a statement.
"If any school vehicles are left for verification during the inspection campaign, they will be checked on Wednesday, the Ram Navami school holiday. If any school refuses to cooperate in this investigation campaign, they will face severe consequences," Yadav stated.
The Gurugram traffic police took decisive action against school vehicles that violated traffic rules and fitness standards. Traffic cops issued challans to 336 school buses and vans, and 20 of them were seized, according to officials.
According to an official release, the program was established to ensure children's safety while riding in school vehicles.
