RACE Energy Introduces Battery-Swapping Tech in Sri Lanka

RACE Energy plans to scale up to 500 vehicles in the next 3-6 months, offering a 'pay-as-you-go' alternative to 1.2 million three-wheeler drivers in Sri Lanka.

RACE Energy has launched a strategic pilot in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in partnership with Lanka E-Mobility Solutions (Private) Limited (LeMS), as part of its international expansion journey. RACE Energy wants to revolutionize Sri Lanka's electric mobility landscape with its revolutionary 'e-wheel' battery swapping initiative.

The decision to expand into Sri Lanka was motivated by shared market dynamics, environmental concerns between India and Sri Lanka, and a pressing demand for electric solutions in the phase of rising gasoline prices. The ambitious plan is to scale up to 500 vehicles in the next 3-6 months, offering a 'pay-as-you-go' alternative to 1.2 million three-wheeler drivers in Sri Lanka.

The system developed by RACE Energy enables fast battery replacements, addressing issues like high running costs, long charging periods, and range anxiety.
