NueGo has launched India's first electric AC sleeper bus services. NueGo is the electric intercity bus service by GreenCell Mobility. This is a big move towards making long-distance travel more sustainable. The buses will run on popular routes like Delhi–Amritsar, Bangalore–Chennai, Hyderabad–Rajahmundry, Chennai–Madurai, Vijayawada–Visakhapatnam, and Bangalore–Madurai. NueGo plans to grow its presence in the sleeper bus market while encouraging eco-friendly travel options.

Features of Sleeper Buses

The sleeper buses are designed for comfort with ergonomic berths, backrests, overhead storage, soft-touch interiors, ambient LED lighting, USB charging ports, night reading lamps, and berth pockets. They also offer modern sanitation facilities. The design features an aerodynamically optimized FRP front fascia and a monocoque chassis for better handling and stability. A weight-optimized GI tubular structure helps improve overall efficiency.

The buses come with advanced safety features like ABS brakes, electronic stability control (ESC), full air suspension with electronically controlled air suspension (ECAS), and a rollover-engineered structure. Operating with zero tailpipe emissions, the buses also use regenerative braking technology, which makes the ride quieter and smoother. They offer a range of 350 km on a single charge, and with fast charging, they can cover up to 600 km per day.

NueGo focuses on sustainability, comfort, and passenger safety, especially for women travelers. The service includes a 24x7 helpline, a Pink Seat feature for booking tickets, and clean mid-point stops. The buses are also equipped with security systems like CCTV surveillance, GPS live tracking, driver breath analyzer tests, and a speed lock set at 80 km/h. With this launch, NueGo aims to grow its presence in India’s intercity travel sector, offering a cleaner alternative to conventional fuel-powered buses.
