Key Highlights:

  • NueGo introduces its longest electric intercity bus route.
  • Buses can run over 250 km on a single charge.
  • Each bus undergoes 25 safety inspections.
  • Services include 24x7 helpline, CCTV, GPS tracking, “Pink Seats” for women, and breath tests for drivers.
  • GreenCell Mobility’s mission is to offer clean, safe, and premium travel.

NueGo, India’s first electric intercity bus brand, has launched a new route between Delhi and Lucknow. The service is operated by GreenCell Mobility and offers fares starting at INR 999. The journey takes about 10 hours and uses fully electric buses, making it the longest electric intercity route for NueGo so far.

Comfort and Sustainability

According to Devndra Chawla, CEO and MD of GreenCell Mobility, this new service supports the company’s goal to offer cleaner and safer travel options. Passengers can enjoy trained staff, comfortable seating, and access to airport-style lounges in select cities.

Part of a Growing Electric Network

This new route is part of NueGo’s expanding network across India. The company currently runs over 300 electric buses in more than 100 cities. Every day, over 500 departures use these electric buses. Each bus can travel over 250 kilometers on a single charge. Even in heavy traffic, the buses can run with air conditioning without affecting battery life.

Focus on Passenger Safety

Before every trip, NueGo buses go through 25 safety checks. These include both mechanical and electrical inspections. The buses produce zero tailpipe emissions, helping to reduce pollution. Safety is a top priority. The buses have real-time GPS tracking that passengers can access through the NueGo mobile app. Speed is limited to 80 kilometers per hour to keep the journey safe.

Extra Features for Women’s Safety

To ensure the safety of female passengers, NueGo offers several features. There is a 24-hour helpline, CCTV surveillance, and special “Pink Seats” that can be booked in advance. All drivers must pass a breath analyzer test before driving. GPS systems are active on all vehicles throughout the trip.

Tested Across India

Before launching the Delhi-Lucknow route, NueGo completed a long journey from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. This journey tested the performance of electric buses in different terrains and weather conditions across India.

A Step Toward Greener Travel

NueGo aims to provide a premium travel experience while reducing carbon emissions. The company is part of GreenCell Mobility’s mission to bring electric vehicle technology to long-distance bus travel. It offers an alternative to diesel buses and helps promote cleaner transport between cities. With this new route, NueGo continues to grow as a major player in India’s sustainable travel sector.
