Montra Electric has signed two separate Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) to participate in the Delhi-NCR Fleet Replacement Scheme. The agreements were signed separately by the company's Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicle (e-MHCV) division and Small Commercial Vehicle (e-SCV) division.
The initiative is part of the Central Government's infrastructure support program being implemented under the National Capital Region (NCR) Planning Board policy. The scheme focuses on modernizing commercial vehicle fleets and reducing emissions across the Delhi-NCR region.
The Delhi-NCR Fleet Replacement Scheme aims to encourage transport operators to replace older, high-emission diesel trucks and buses currently operating within the National Capital Region. The objective is to improve air quality by promoting the adoption of cleaner and zero-emission commercial vehicles.
Through these agreements, Montra Electric will provide electric replacement options for logistics companies, transport operators, and corporate fleet owners looking to transition from conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to electric commercial vehicles.
The NCR Planning Board policy has been designed to reduce pollution caused by aging commercial vehicles while supporting the shift toward sustainable freight transportation. The framework offers structured incentives for replacing older commercial vehicles with cleaner alternatives, helping accelerate electric vehicle adoption in regional freight corridors.
By joining the program, Montra Electric strengthens its role in India's commercial EV sector while contributing to the government's efforts to lower vehicle emissions and improve urban air quality across the Delhi-NCR region.

The partnership between MoRTH and Montra Electric marks another important step toward cleaner commercial transportation in Delhi-NCR. By supporting the replacement of older diesel trucks and buses with electric commercial vehicles, the initiative is expected to reduce emissions, improve air quality, and encourage wider adoption of sustainable mobility solutions for logistics and fleet operators.
