Key Highlights

  • 175 Montra Super Autos shipped via rail from Tada to Siliguri

  • Delivery time reduced by 60%, completed in under 5 days

  • Logistics costs lowered by up to 30%

  • An estimated 15,800 tonnes of CO₂ emissions were avoided

  • Immediate customer availability was ensured during the festive rush

Montra Electric Last-Mile Mobility has taken a big step towards sustainable logistics by dispatching 175 units of its flagship Super Auto electric three-wheeler by rail from Tada, Andhra Pradesh, to Siliguri, West Bengal. This is the brand’s first-ever bulk railway shipment, aimed at ensuring quick availability of vehicles for dealerships in North and North-East India ahead of the festive season.

Faster Deliveries and Lower Costs

This smart move reduced delivery time by over 60%, completing the 2,000 km journey in less than five days compared to the 12–14 days usually taken by road. Transporting the same consignment by road would have required 17–18 truck trips. The rail shipment also cut logistics costs by up to 30%, helping dealerships avoid stock delays during the peak season.

Major Environmental Benefits

By choosing rail transport, Montra Electric avoided an estimated 15,800 tonnes of CO₂ emissions, reducing its overall carbon footprint and easing congestion on highways. A dedicated warehouse in Siliguri has been set up to store the dispatched vehicles, enabling dealerships to offer immediate delivery to customers.

Commitment to Clean and Smart Mobility

Highlighting the initiative, Deependra Sharma, CEO of Montra Electric Last-Mile Mobility, said: “At Montra Electric, sustainability is not just about our products; it is embedded in the way we work and the choices we make. By adopting smarter logistics, we have been able to significantly reduce lead times, ensure vehicles reach our customers faster, and lower our environmental footprint. This initiative reflects our commitment to clean mobility, operational excellence, and delivering greater value to our customers in a greener, smarter, and more efficient way.”
