The Madhya Pradesh government has brought important news for women waiting to benefit from the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana. Eligible women who have so far been left out of the scheme may be included next year, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav indicated during a programme in Punjapura, Dewas district.

The announcement has raised hopes among women who meet the scheme's eligibility conditions but could not receive its benefits earlier. However, the government has not yet announced the exact date for new applications or registration. Women will therefore have to wait for an official announcement before applying.

New Eligible Women May Be Added in 2027

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that eligible women who are currently deprived of the benefits of the Ladli Behna Yojana will be added next year. This indicates that the process for bringing new eligible beneficiaries under the scheme could begin in 2027.

The government has not yet provided a specific registration schedule or application date. Therefore, women should not rely on unofficial dates or information circulating on social media. The official Ladli Behna Yojana portal and government announcements should be followed for the registration process.

Women Currently Receive ₹1,500 Per Month

Under the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana, eligible women currently receive ₹1,500 per month as financial assistance. In September 2026, more than ₹1,835 crore was transferred directly into the bank accounts of over 12.5 million eligible women across Madhya Pradesh as the scheme's 40th regular instalment.

The scheme was launched in June 2023, when eligible women received ₹1,000 per month. The assistance was later increased to ₹1,250 and subsequently raised to ₹1,500 per month from November 2025.

Who Is Eligible for Ladli Behna Yojana?

According to the official scheme portal, the Ladli Behna Yojana is available to eligible married women who are residents of Madhya Pradesh. The eligibility also covers widows, divorcees and abandoned women, subject to the scheme's other conditions.

A woman must have completed 21 years of age and be below 60 years of age as of January 1 of the calendar year in which she applies.

Women also need to meet certain banking and identification requirements. They must have their own bank account, which should be linked with Aadhaar, and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) must be activated. Aadhaar e-KYC on the Samagra portal is also required.

Which Women Are Not Eligible?

The scheme has specific exclusion conditions. A woman is not eligible if her or her family's self-declared annual income is more than ₹2.5 lakh.

Benefits are also not available in cases where eligible family members include an income tax payer, certain government employees or pensioners. Families owning more than five acres of agricultural land or a four-wheel-drive vehicle other than a tractor are also excluded under the scheme rules.

Keep Documents Ready Before New Registration

Women who believe they are eligible can use the waiting period to make sure their documents and details are updated. Their Aadhaar card, Samagra ID, mobile number and bank account information should be accurate.

It is also advisable to check whether Aadhaar e-KYC has been completed on the Samagra portal and whether the bank account is properly linked with Aadhaar and has DBT enabled.

Once the government announces the new registration process, having these details ready may help eligible women complete the application requirements more easily.

Official Date for New Applications Yet to Be Announced

The Chief Minister's statement has increased expectations that new eligible women will be brought into the Ladli Behna Yojana next year. However, no official date for fresh registration has been announced yet.
