The Madhya Pradesh government is running the Ladli Behna Yojana to financially empower women across the state. Under the scheme, eligible women receive financial assistance of ₹1,500 every month directly in their bank accounts.
Women beneficiaries are now waiting for the 40th installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana. The 39th installment was released on August 19, 2026. On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also provided an additional ₹250 gift amount to eligible women.
However, before the next installment is released, beneficiaries should check whether they continue to meet all eligibility conditions. Changes in family income, employment status, land ownership or other prescribed conditions may result in a woman's name being removed from the beneficiary list.
The Madhya Pradesh government has not yet announced an official date for the release of the 40th installment.
However, based on the expected payment schedule, the ₹1,500 installment may be transferred between September 10 and September 15, 2026. The amount is provided to eligible beneficiaries every month through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
Beneficiaries should note that the final payment date will only be confirmed after an official announcement from the Madhya Pradesh government.
Women must continue to meet the eligibility conditions prescribed under the Ladli Behna Yojana. If the financial or family circumstances of a beneficiary change and no longer meet the scheme's requirements, her name may be removed from the list.
A beneficiary may become ineligible in the following situations:
The annual income of the woman's family exceeds ₹2.50 lakh.
Any family member has a government job or is an income taxpayer.
Any family member receives a pension from the Central Government, State Government or a government undertaking.
Any family member is working as a contract employee in government service.
Any family member is a current or former MP or MLA.
Any family member is or has been a chairman or director of a board, corporation or other government body under the Central or State Government.
The woman is above 60 years of age.
The family owns more than 5 acres of agricultural land.
Any family member owns or has recently purchased a four-wheeler, except a tractor.
Women whose family circumstances have changed should verify their eligibility before the next installment is released.
The Ladli Behna Yojana is available to eligible women who are permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh.
The woman must generally be between 21 and 60 years of age and meet all other conditions prescribed by the state government.
Their Aadhaar details are correct and updated.
Their mobile number is linked with Aadhaar where required.
Their bank account details are correct.
The necessary e-KYC and Aadhaar verification procedures have been completed.
Their bank account is properly linked for receiving DBT payments.
If any information related to Aadhaar, mobile number or bank account has changed, beneficiaries should get it corrected through the appropriate process to avoid payment-related issues.
Women waiting for the 40th installment can check whether their name is included in the beneficiary list through the scheme's official portal.
Visit the official website of the Ladli Behna Yojana.
Select the Beneficiary List option.
Enter the required details, such as district, tehsil, gram panchayat and other requested information.
Check whether your name appears in the list.
Verify your eligibility status and bank account details.
If a beneficiary's name is not visible in the list, she can contact the concerned department or inquire at the Gram Panchayat level to understand the reason.
Women expecting the upcoming installment should not wait until the payment date. They should check their beneficiary status, eligibility details and bank account information in advance.
Any mismatch in personal information, incomplete e-KYC or changes in eligibility conditions could affect the continuation of benefits. Keeping Aadhaar, mobile number and bank details updated can help ensure that the DBT payment process remains smooth.
