JBM Electric Vehicles Pvt Ltd has announced a new agreement to supply 200 electric intercity buses. These electric buses are designed with advanced technology to offer a comfortable, safe, and eco-friendly travel experience. 

The new fleet will operate on various routes, aiming to enhance connectivity between cities and cut down on the carbon footprint of intercity travel.

Details of the Project

The agreement includes:

  • 150 high-end electric luxury intercity coaches
  • 50 e-buses for staff and tourist applications

These zero-emission buses promise high standards of luxury, safety, and comfort, featuring plush interiors and premium amenities. The project aligns with JBM's mission to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable mobility. 

It is estimated that these buses will cut about 4 lakh tons of CO2 emissions and save 140 million liters of diesel over their lifetime.

Advanced Technology Features

The new buses will include:

  • Latest battery technology for extended range
  • Fast-charging capabilities
  • Intelligent fleet management systems to optimize routes and energy use

Deliveries of these buses are expected to be completed within the next 24 months.

Statements from Key Figures

Nishant Arya, Vice Chairman of JBM Group, emphasized that this agreement reflects JBM's dedication to sustainable development and zero-emission technology. He highlighted that their buses have undergone extensive trials, proving their adaptability to diverse conditions.

Rohan, Founder of LeafyBus, viewed the partnership as a major step towards transforming India's transportation landscape. He stated that the addition of these buses will enable LeafyBus to offer a luxurious and sustainable travel option for eco-conscious travelers.

JBM electric buses, which debuted in 2018, have been working in the green public transportation sector worldwide. According to reports, JBM electric buses have traveled 150 million e-kilometers and served 1 billion bus travelers worldwide as part of the company's 1 billion e-kilometer promise.
