Haryana farmers may get up to ₹5 lakh subsidy on E-Tractors.
A 45 HP electric tractor currently costs around ₹15 lakh.
Tractor companies may reduce prices by nearly ₹2 lakh.
Final tractor cost for farmers could drop to ₹8 lakh.
The scheme promotes eco-friendly and modern farming practices.
The Haryana government has announced a major subsidy scheme to encourage farmers to buy electric tractors in the state. Under this scheme, eligible farmers may receive a subsidy of up to ₹5 lakh on E-Tractors, helping reduce the overall purchase cost significantly.
The initiative aims to support farmers in adopting modern and environmentally friendly farming methods while also reducing their daily fuel expenses.
According to the shared information, a 45 HP electric tractor currently costs around ₹15 lakh. However, the Haryana government is reportedly in talks with tractor manufacturing companies to reduce the tractor price by nearly ₹2 lakh.
If the proposed price reduction happens, the price of the tractor may come down to around ₹13 lakh. After this, farmers can receive a government subsidy of up to ₹5 lakh under the scheme.
This means the final cost of the electric tractor for farmers could be reduced to nearly ₹8 lakh.
The Haryana government wants to increase the use of electric tractors in agriculture and encourage farmers to shift towards cleaner and advanced farming technology.
Officials and tractor companies recently held discussions regarding ways to make E-Tractors more affordable so that more farmers across the state can purchase them easily.
The government believes that lower prices and subsidy support may help speed up the adoption of electric farming vehicles in Haryana.
Electric tractors may offer several advantages to farmers during agricultural operations and transport work.
One of the biggest benefits of E-Tractors is reduced fuel cost. Since these tractors run on electricity instead of diesel, farmers may spend less money on daily farming operations.
Traditional diesel tractors release smoke and harmful gases into the environment. Electric tractors can help reduce pollution and improve air quality in villages and farming areas.
The use of electric tractors may also help farmers adopt modern farming practices. Advanced agricultural machinery can improve efficiency and make different farming activities easier to perform.
The Haryana government and tractor manufacturing companies are reportedly working together to reduce the overall cost of electric tractors.
As per the announcement, discussions focused on making E-Tractors more affordable for farmers through company-level price reductions along with government subsidies.
If implemented successfully, the scheme could make electric tractors a more practical and cost-effective option for farmers in Haryana.
