Electric 3W L5 Sales Report March 2025: MLMM Emerges as Top Choice

In March 2025, India’s electric vehicle (EV) sales showed mixed performance. The sales of passenger electric three-wheelers (E3W L5) increased to 13,539 units in March 2025 from 11,907 units in February 2025. In March 2025, the sales of cargo electric three-wheelers (E3W L5) increased to 2,701 units from 2,448 units in February 2025.

According to Vahan Dashboard data, the E-3W L5 Passenger category sold 13,539 units in March 2025 compared to 11,816 in March 2024. The E-3W Passenger L5 segment witnessed YoY growth in sales.

OEM-wise Electric Three-Wheeler Passenger L5 Sales Trend

The sales figures for Electric Three-Wheeler Passenger L5 have shown some remarkable growth in March 2025. Here is the sales performance of Top OEMs in March 2025:

In March 2025, Mahindra Last Mile Mobility sold 5,330 vehicles, which is 20% more than the 4,456 units sold in March 2024. Compared to February 2025, when sales were 4,727 units, there was a 12.8% increase in March 2025.

Bajaj Auto also showed impressive growth by selling 4,754 units in March 2025 compared to the 2896 units sold in March 2024. In February 2025, the company sold 4,157 units. The Y-O-Y and M-O-M sales increased by 64% and 14.4%, respectively.

Piaggio Vehiclessold 1,224 units in March 2025, which is higher than the 1,049 units in February 2025 and lower than the 2,661 in March 2024. The Y-O-Y sales decreased by 54%, and M-O-M sales increased by 16.7%.

TVS Motor Company recorded a strong MOM growth of 138.5%, with 737 units sold, compared to 309 units sold in February 2025.
TI Clean Mobility sold 538 units in March 2025, which is higher than the 532 units in February 2025 and lower than the 748 units in March 2024. The Y-O-Y sales decreased by 28%, and M-O-M sales increased by 1.1%.

E-3W Goods L5 Sales

According to Vahan Dashboard data, the total number of E-3Ws sold in the L5 Goods category was 2,701 units in March 2025 compared to 6,573 in March 2024. The E-3W Cargo L5 segment witnessed a decline in Y-O-Y sales.

OEM-wise E-3W Cargo L5 Sales Trend 

The sales data for Electric Three-Wheeler Goods L5 in March 2025 shows varied performances across different brands, with some experiencing notable growth:

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility: The company sold 701 units in March 2025, which is higher than the 591 units in February 2025 and lower than the 1867 units in March 2024. The Y-O-Y sales decreased by 62.5%, and M-O-M sales increased by 18.6%.

Bajaj Auto:The company sold 539 units in March 2025, which is higher than the 430 units in February 2025 and 460 units in March 2024. The Y-O-Y and M-O-M sales increased by 17.2% and 25.3%, respectively.

Euler Motors:The company sold 343 units in March 2025, which is higher than the 198 units in February 2025 and lower than the 554 units in March 2024. The Y-O-Y sales decreased by 38%, and M-O-M sales increased by 73.2%.

Omega Seiki: The company sold 238 units in March 2025, which is lower than the 534 units in February 2025 and 2069 units in March 2024. The Y-O-Y and M-O-M sales decreased by 88.5% and 55.4%, respectively.​

Piaggio Vehicles: The company sold 165 units in March 2025, which is higher than the 121 units in February 2025 and lower than the 647 units in March 2024. The Y-O-Y sales decreased by 74.5%, and M-O-M sales increased by 36.4%.​
