Eicher Pro X EV completed a 4,100 km K2K journey.
The journey finished in just six days.
Vehicle operated under fully loaded conditions.
Four India Book of Records achievements secured.
Public charging infrastructure used throughout expedition.
India’s commercial vehicle industry is rapidly moving towards cleaner mobility, but concerns around EV range, charging infrastructure, and operational reliability still remain among fleet operators. Addressing these concerns with real-world proof instead of marketing claims, Eicher Trucks and Buses has completed a landmark Kashmir-to-Kanyakumari (K2K) journey with its all-new electric commercial vehicle, the Eicher Pro X EV.
Under its #XpertHaiTohPossibleHai campaign, the company demonstrated the real-world capability of electric commercial vehicles by making the Eicher Pro X EV the first and fastest electric CV to complete the demanding Srinagar-to-Kanyakumari route under fully loaded conditions.
The Eicher Pro X EV covered a total distance of 4,100 kilometres from Lal Chowk in Srinagar to Kanyakumari in just six days. The vehicle travelled across some of India’s toughest terrains and weather conditions while carrying a full load.
The journey included routes through the Himalayas, plains, Deccan Plateau, ghats, urban roads, highways, and coastal regions. During the expedition, temperatures ranged from -2°C to over +40°C, making it one of the toughest real-world tests for an electric commercial vehicle in India.
The campaign also helped the company secure four recognitions from the India Book of Records, further validating the performance and operational readiness of the Eicher Pro X EV.
Unlike traditional product marketing campaigns, Eicher focused on proving the capabilities of its electric vehicle in real operating conditions. The company highlighted practical EV aspects such as charging stops, route planning, terrain management, and vehicle performance optimisation during long-distance operations.
The campaign aimed to convert Eicher’s engineering strengths into a relatable and trustworthy story for fleet owners and logistics operators. This proof-led storytelling approach showcased how electric commercial vehicles can perform reliably even in demanding logistics operations.
To make the campaign more authentic and relatable, Eicher collaborated with Raman Nayak from “Behind The Wheels,” a well-known voice in the commercial vehicle industry. He documented the entire journey independently through a multi-episode video series shared across YouTube and social media platforms.
The expedition was also independently verified by the India Book of Records, adding third-party validation to the achievement.
Eicher further expanded the campaign by partnering with regional content creators across different states. These creators produced hyperlocal content in regional languages, helping the campaign reach audiences beyond traditional automotive viewers.
One of the biggest highlights of the campaign was that the Eicher Pro X EV relied entirely on public charging infrastructure during the 4,100-kilometre journey. Charging stations were accessed using the MyEicher App, showcasing the growing readiness of India’s EV ecosystem for commercial operations.
The campaign demonstrated that electric commercial vehicles can now handle long-distance logistics operations with proper route planning and charging support.
Speaking about the achievement, Abhishek Chaudhary, SVP, SCV - Sales & Marketing, VECV, said the K2K journey validates the engineering capability of the Eicher Pro X EV in real-world conditions.
According to him, the initiative reflects Eicher’s long-term approach towards modernising commercial transportation through practical innovation and demonstrated performance. He added that the campaign builds confidence in electric mobility solutions for logistics operators by relying on proof rather than promises.
Bhagwan K. Bindiganavile, EVP - Strategic Planning, Brand & Communications, VECV, said the initiative was designed to address not only customer requirements but also their unspoken concerns about electric mobility.
He explained that taking a production-ready electric vehicle on such a large-scale journey was a deliberate attempt to move beyond conventional advertising and show the vehicle’s capability in a transparent and realistic manner. He also connected the campaign with Eicher’s “Nayi Soch, Naye Raaste” philosophy aimed at improving logistics efficiency in line with India’s Gati Shakti vision.
The campaign aligns closely with the Government of India’s Gati Shakti initiative and Net Zero 2070 targets. Through this journey, Eicher demonstrated how Make-in-India electric commercial vehicles can contribute towards building a greener and more sustainable logistics ecosystem in the country.
The successful expedition also highlights the growing potential of electric trucks in long-haul transportation, a segment where diesel-powered vehicles have traditionally dominated.
