First electric small truck to complete K2K under full load.
Covered 4,000+ km in just 6 days.
Fastest electric truck on the K2K route.
Verified and awarded by the India Book of Records.
Provided long-haul EV readiness and charging support.
Eicher Trucks and Buses, part of VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV), has created history with its Eicher Pro X EV, which has successfully completed the tough Kashmir to Kanyakumari (K2K) route under fully loaded conditions. With this achievement, the Pro X EV has become the first and fastest commercially available electric small truck to complete this iconic journey and has been officially recognized by the India Book of Records.
The historic run began in Srinagar on January 20, 2026, and concluded in Kanyakumari on January 26, 2026, covering over 4,000 km in just 6 days. During this journey, the Eicher Pro X EV crossed some of India’s most challenging terrains, including the Himalayas, plains, Deccan Plateau, ghats, and coastal routes, while maintaining consistent performance throughout.
This expedition resulted in four major records:
First commercially available electric small truck to complete the K2K route in a fully loaded condition
Fastest time by a commercially available electric truck on the K2K route
Establishment of a new benchmark for long-haul electric commercial mobility in India
Official recognition by the India Book of Records
To ensure complete transparency, an adjudicator from the India Book of Records accompanied the vehicle throughout the journey. The official verified route compliance, loading conditions, total distance covered, charging stops, and overall travel time make this achievement fully authenticated and credible.

During the expedition, the Eicher Pro X EV used public charging stations, which were easily accessible to the driver through the MyEicher App. The successful completion of this long-distance journey proved that India’s rapidly growing EV charging infrastructure is now capable of supporting electric commercial vehicles across highways, cities, and remote regions.
This milestone aligns strongly with the Government of India’s Net Zero emissions goal. The K2K run serves as a real-world demonstration that electric commercial vehicles are ready to support a greener, low-carbon logistics ecosystem across the country.
Vinod Aggarwal, MD & CEO, VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd., said that Eicher’s legacy of fuel efficiency and application-focused engineering has now extended into electric mobility. He highlighted that the Pro X EV’s performance reflects Eicher’s strong product development, manufacturing capabilities, and customer-centric nationwide dealer and service network.
SS Gill, Chief Commercial Officer, VECV, stated that completing the K2K route with a loaded electric truck proves that EVs are no longer limited to last-mile deliveries. According to him, the journey demonstrates the commercial viability, reliability, and long-range capability of Eicher’s electric technology for India’s green logistics corridors.
Abhishek Chaudhary, SVP – SCV Sales & Marketing, VECV, added that the Pro X EV crossed diverse climates and altitudes, covering over 4,000 km. He noted that recognition from the India Book of Records validates the truck’s real-world reliability beyond internal testing standards.
Bhagwan K Bindiganavile, EVP – Strategic Planning, Brand & Communications, VECV, described the Kashmir to Kanyakumari route as a true test for any machine. He emphasized that the achievement reflects Eicher’s heritage and future readiness, aligned with its philosophy of “Nayi Soch, Naye Raaste.”
With this achievement, Eicher aims to address one of the biggest challenges in EV adoption, confidence among fleet operators and logistics players. The Pro X EV demonstrated stable cruising, efficient energy usage, and dependable performance across hills, plains, and coastal roads.

Beyond zero tailpipe emissions, the journey highlighted the Pro X EV’s predictable operating costs, minimal maintenance needs, and strong total cost of ownership benefits. These factors are critical for businesses planning a long-term shift to electric fleets.
Positioned for middle-mile and last-mile logistics, the Eicher Pro X EV reinforces that electric commercial vehicles are no longer a future concept. With this record-setting run, Eicher has proven that electric trucks are road-ready, reliable, and commercially viable today, marking a major step forward in India’s clean mobility journey.

The Eicher Pro X EV’s successful Kashmir to Kanyakumari journey marks a turning point for electric commercial mobility in India. By completing over 4,000 km in six days under full load, the truck proved its real-world reliability, long-range capability, and commercial viability. This milestone strengthens confidence among fleet operators and clearly shows that electric trucks are ready to support India’s green, low-carbon logistics future today.
