Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, has inaugurated a new authorized dealership, PPS Trucking, in Jammu, Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. This launch marks an important step in BharatBenz’s ongoing network expansion across India.
The new dealership is strategically located at Kartholi Village, Birpur, Jammu, on NH-44, the crucial Delhi–Jammu–Srinagar highway. This position allows BharatBenz to cater to vehicles operating between Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Himachal Pradesh. The facility will also serve nearby districts, including Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Rajouri, Reasi, Ramban, and Kishtwar.
With Jammu being a key hub for infrastructure development and a terminal for tourist bus operators, the dealership will play a crucial role in supporting fleets operating in the region, including those of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO).
The PPS Trucking dealership in Jammu is a 3S facility (Sales, Service, and Spares) covering 22,000 sq. ft. It is equipped with 8 service bays and can handle over 2,700 vehicles annually. The state-of-the-art workshop features advanced tools, diagnostic systems, and a wheel alignment machine.
To ensure maximum uptime for customers, the facility provides 24/7 roadside assistance with two mobile reach vans and has a dedicated driver restroom for convenience. A team of 35 skilled technicians will deliver seamless after-sales support.
Rajiv Chaturvedi, President & Chief Business Officer, DICV, said: “The inauguration of our new dealership in Jammu underlines BharatBenz’s commitment to expand its footprint in India’s high-growth regions. Jammu & Kashmir is strategically important with its booming infrastructure projects and strong transport demand. Together with our trusted partner PPS Trucking, we will ensure customers receive world-class sales and after-sales support.”
Rajiv Sanghvi, Managing Director, PPS Trucking, added: “We are delighted to expand our network in Northern India with this BharatBenz 3S facility in Jammu. This marks the 7th state in our BharatBenz network with 59 touchpoints. Our aim is to maximize vehicle uptime and enhance customer profitability.”
With ongoing infrastructure development, multiple construction projects, and a strong fruit and vegetable trade, Jammu & Kashmir is witnessing growing demand for commercial vehicles. The need for refrigerated vehicles to transport agricultural produce is also increasing. PPS Trucking plans to further strengthen its presence in the region in the coming months.
The dealership will also focus on comprehensive after-sales service, including preventive maintenance, on-site repairs, express service programs, and a well-stocked spare parts inventory to minimize downtime for BharatBenz customers.
