Altigreen, a major player in India's commercial electric vehicle market, has reached a key milestone in its commitment to sustainable mobility. Altigreen has a fleet of roughly 5,000 vehicles that travel across 173 RTO jurisdictions in India, covering a total distance of 50 million kilometers. This achievement results in a decrease of 5,300 metric tons of eCO2 emissions.
Dr. Amitabh Saran, Founder and CEO of Altigreen, stated, "We are thrilled to see the impact of our efforts toward green mobility. By reducing CO2 emissions by 5,237 tons, we are not only helping to clean up the environment, but also creating a standard for sustainable transportation in India."
Altigreen’s vision is to make the world better for future generations by eliminating carbon from road transport. The eCO2 emissions saved by Altigreen's electric vehicles equal 2.52 lakh tree-years.
For comparison, this accomplishment is equivalent to the CO2 absorption capacity of 14 Central Park in New York or 40 Cubbon Park in Bangalore.
Altigreen is a market leader in electric vehicle technology and last-mile mobility solutions. Its mobility platforms are manufactured in India and based on indigenous technology, with more than 93% local value added.
Altigreen vehicles are specifically developed to meet Indian environmental and business requirements. Altigreen believes in the engineering-first approach and takes pride in producing electric vehicles that exceed customers' expectations.
