Key Highlights:

  • Sany India aims for annual revenue of ₹30,000 crore by 2030, more than triple its current revenue.
  • The company plans 35% growth next year, targeting ₹8,000 crore revenue.
  • Sany India has doubled its Pune plant's production capacity to 12,000 machines annually.
  • Exports make up 10-15% of revenue, with plans to grow exports from 1,000 to 1,600 machines next year.
  • Sany India is working to boost product localization from 30-35% to 50% for key equipment.

Construction equipment manufacturer Sany India has set an ambitious target of achieving Rs 30,000 crore in annual revenue by the end of this decade. This would mean a three-fold growth from its current revenue levels.

Strong Growth in 2024

For 2024, Sany India expects its revenue to reach Rs 8,000 crore, a 25% increase compared to the previous year. Sanjay Saxena, Chief Operating Officer for Sales, Marketing & Customer Support, mentioned that the company is aiming for a 35% growth in next year.

Wide Product Range and Dealer Network

Sany India offers a broad range of equipment, including excavators, cranes, concrete mixers, batching plants, mining equipment, and wind turbines. The company has a strong network with 42 dealers and 260 touchpoints across India. Saxena emphasized equal focus on all verticals, such as earthmoving, lifting, mining, ports, and roads, to drive growth.

Promising Market Outlook

India ranks as the third-largest market for construction equipment. With the government prioritizing infrastructure development, including roads, ports, airports, and railways, the demand for construction equipment is projected to remain strong. Urbanization and industrial development further boost long-term prospects.

Export Expansion Plans

Exports currently account for 10-15% of Sany India’s revenue. The company exports telehandlers and excavators to regions like North America, Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia. Plans are in place to expand the export portfolio with products such as soil compactors. Sany India aims to increase exports to 1,600 machines in 2024, up from the current 1,000.

Manufacturing Capacity Doubled

To meet growing demand, Sany India recently invested Rs 1,000 crore to expand its manufacturing facility in Pune. This has doubled its production capacity to 12,000 machines annually. The company also increased its shed and workshop areas to accommodate higher production volumes.

Focus on Localization

Sany India is working to boost localization across its product range, which currently stands at 30-35%. The target is to increase localization to 50%, particularly for major products like excavators, cranes, and mining dumpers.
