JCB India unveiled its latest range of CEV Stage 5-ready machines at the Bharat Construction Equipment Expo. These machines are designed to meet the latest government emission standards while delivering better fuel efficiency and performance.
The new range includes advanced backhoe loaders, telehandlers, skid steer loaders, compactors, and wheeled loaders. These machines boast a 10-15% improvement in fuel efficiency compared to the previous CEV Stage 4 models. Key technologies like Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) ensure reduced emissions, aligning with India’s push for cleaner construction solutions.
The machines feature a robust fuel filtration system and extended filter replacement intervals, reducing downtime and operating costs for contractors. To ensure reliability, the equipment underwent rigorous testing, including over 200,000 hours of real-world use and development trials in extreme conditions such as altitudes of 4,500 meters in Leh and Ladakh.
Deepak Shetty, CEO and Managing Director of JCB India, emphasized the company’s dedication to sustainability and innovation. He stated, “This new range is not only eco-friendly but also designed to reduce operational costs and meet the demands of modern construction projects.”
JCB India also showcased its hydrogen-powered backhoe loader prototype at the Expo, a significant step in its global efforts to develop low-emission construction solutions. Since 2021, JCB has been actively working on hydrogen-based technologies to reduce reliance on diesel.

JCB India’s new offerings reflect its focus on sustainable, efficient, and customer-centric solutions. The launch of CEV Stage 5 ready machines, coupled with its work on hydrogen technology and pre-owned equipment solutions, positions JCB as a leader in adapting to evolving industry standards and environmental priorities.
The company’s participation at the Bharat Construction Equipment Expo underscores its commitment to driving India’s construction sector forward with innovative and eco-friendly technologies.
