TVS Motor Company has officially entered the electric cargo three-wheeler segment in India with the launch of the TVS King Kargo HD EV, a heavy-duty model designed for urban and semi-urban logistics. Packed with multiple first-in-segment features such as Bluetooth connectivity, twin-axis ORVMs, full rolling windows, and advanced suspension, this new model sets fresh benchmarks in the EV cargo segment.
Along with the King Kargo HD EV, TVS also showcased its CNG variant, which will be launched later this year. With this move, TVS Motor strengthens its presence in the fast-growing cargo mobility sector, which is witnessing high demand in India.

According to the latest Global EV Outlook 2025 Report by the International Energy Agency (IEA), India has emerged as the world’s top market for electric three-wheelers for the second consecutive year. This highlights the rising importance of e-3Ws in last-mile logistics and urban mobility.
Although TVS has entered the cargo EV space later than some competitors, the King Kargo HD EV brings advanced technology, strong performance, and best-in-class features that can make it a preferred choice for logistics operators.
Now, let's see what these features are:

The King Kargo HD EV is purpose-built for carrying large and heavy loads. It boasts the largest-in-segment cargo deck length of 6.6 feet, available in three configurations:
PF (Platform)
FSD (Fixed Side Deck)
Container
The PF variant comes with a deck length of 6 feet 7.2 inches and a width of 4 feet 10.8 inches. The FSD variant has the same base dimensions with an added side height of 1 foot 1.7 inches. The container variant offers 6 feet 9 inches in length, 5 feet in width, and 5 feet 9 inches in height, ideal for enclosed cargo transport.
With 235 mm ground clearance, the vehicle easily manages rough roads, while the lowest loading height of 703 mm ensures effortless loading and unloading. Its 28.7% gradeability helps climb steep slopes and flyovers with ease.
With a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 998 kg and a kerb weight of 541 kg, the TVS King Kargo HD EV delivers a payload capacity of 457 kg. This has been achieved with a dual-rate leaf spring rear suspension, which absorbs shocks and ensures stability even with heavy cargo.
The 2310 mm wheelbase prevents front lifting when loaded and enhances balance. Its reinforced chassis and body add durability, while the three large 12-inch tyres provide strong load-bearing capacity. With an aerodynamic design, the EV reaches a top speed of 60 km/h, ensuring quick deliveries and higher profitability.

For safety, the King Kargo HD EV introduces twin-axis ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors), a segment-first feature. These double-link arm mirrors provide a clear view of traffic and blind spots. They are powered and adjustable from inside the cabin for added convenience.
The EV also gets LED headlights and taillamps for better night visibility, 200 mm drum brakes for short braking distances, and regenerative braking to improve energy efficiency and extend driving range.

The King Kargo HD EV is also the first in its category to offer full rolling windows, enhancing ventilation inside the cabin. A roof trim option reduces the cabin temperature by up to 6°C, improving driver comfort in hot weather.
Inside, it features:
Piano black bezel dashboard with USB charging port and glovebox
Ergonomic wide-back driver seat for long hours of driving
Spacious cabin with stylish trims
Power gear with three drive modes for a real-world range of 143 km
With a low turning radius of 3,420 mm, it can easily manoeuvre through congested city roads.

The TVS King Kargo HD EV is the country’s first Bluetooth-enabled electric cargo three-wheeler, powered by TVS SmartXonnect™ technology. It offers 26 connected features, such as:
Turn-by-turn navigation & real-time ETA
Trip analysis, ride history, and charging history
Incoming call alerts, service reminders & road safety notifications
Remote tracking & cost-per-km analysis for fleet owners
This ensures complete visibility, cost efficiency, and safety for drivers and fleet operators.
The King Kargo HD EV also comes with TVS Connect Fleet, a web-based fleet management platform offering 31 advanced features, including:
Real-time vehicle tracking
Remote asset control
Alerts, reports, and analytics
APIs with intelligent dashboards
This system allows operators to maximize uptime, optimize vehicle usage, and improve productivity.
