What We Like?
- Hydrogen produces zero tailpipe emissions, which means less air pollution.
- The project is backed by the Government of India under the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
- The trucks use Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engines (H2-ICE) and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) tech.
- The truck has a 7-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, phone mirroring, and saved maps, making navigation easy and driving enjoyable.
- It includes projector headlamps with daytime lights, LED fog lamps, Hill Start Aid, ESC, Driver Monitoring System, Lane Departure Warning, and Collision Mitigation.
What could have been better?
- Hydrogen-powered vehicles are more expensive to make and maintain right now.
- There are very few hydrogen refueling stations in India today.
- Green hydrogen is not yet widely available and is costly to produce.
- These trucks are still in the testing phase and not yet available for regular use.
- Hydrogen fuel systems are complex and may need special training for servicing and maintenance.
