The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Yojana has greatly relieved crores of Indian farmers. Under this scheme, ₹6,000 is provided to eligible farmers every year in three equal installments through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Now, all eyes are on the 20th installment, and many farmers are asking, when will it be released, and who will get the benefit?
The 19th installment was released from Bhagalpur, Bihar in February 2025, where over ₹22,000 crore was transferred directly to the bank accounts of more than 9.8 crore farmers, including 2.41 crore women farmers.
Based on previous installment intervals, there are strong chances that the 20th installment may be released on 20 June 2025, but there is no official confirmation yet from the government. The government has also indicated that some farmers' payments may get delayed due to technical or administrative issues.

Only those farmers who have completed the required formalities under the PM-Kisan Yojana will receive the 20th installment. The following tasks must be completed:
e-KYC
Land verification
Bank account linked with Aadhaar
Farmer Registry (Kisan ID) registration
The following categories of farmers may not receive the 20th installment:
Farmers who have not completed e-KYC
Those with incomplete or pending land verification
Farmers who have not registered in the Farmer Registry
Accounts not linked with Aadhaar or NPCI mapping incomplete
Submission of incorrect documents or failure to meet eligibility conditions
Farmers who have uploaded wrong information or who do not meet the criteria (like not owning land or holding a government post) will be excluded from the scheme.
To ensure you receive the 20th installment, follow these steps:
e-KYC:
Visit pmkisan.gov.in for OTP-based e-KYC
For biometric e-KYC, visit your nearest CSC center
Land Verification:
Visit your local agriculture office or CSC center to complete land records verification
Bank Account Linking:
Ensure your account is linked with Aadhaar and activated for DBT
Visit your bank or CSC if changes are needed
Farmer Registry:
Register using the Farmer Registry App, website, or CSC center
Check Status:
Go to the “Beneficiary List” or “Beneficiary Status” section on pmkisan.gov.in
If your name is not listed, contact your local agriculture office or CSC center

While the 20th installment is expected around June 2025, there is no official date announced yet. Farmers are advised to complete all pending tasks immediately to avoid delays in receiving the funds. The official website pmkisan.gov.in still displays details of the 19th installment released on 24 February 2025, and updates regarding the 20th installment are awaited.
