₹22,000 crore given in 19th installment to 9.8 crore farmers.
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Yojana has greatly relieved crores of Indian farmers. Under this scheme, ₹6,000 is provided to eligible farmers every year in three equal installments through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Now, all eyes are on the 20th installment, and many farmers are asking, when will it be released, and who will get the benefit?
The 19th installment was released from Bhagalpur, Bihar in February 2025, where over ₹22,000 crore was transferred directly to the bank accounts of more than 9.8 crore farmers, including 2.41 crore women farmers.
Based on previous installment intervals, there are strong chances that the 20th installment may be released on 20 June 2025, but there is no official confirmation yet from the government. The government has also indicated that some farmers' payments may get delayed due to technical or administrative issues.
