As per the official schedule:
Jowar and Millet Procurement: November 24, 2025, to December 24, 2025
Paddy Procurement: December 1, 2025, to January 20, 2026
Procurement will take place only from Monday to Friday to prevent overcrowding and give farmers a longer window to sell their produce comfortably.
Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Minister Govind Singh Rajput stated that strict directions have been given to:
All district collectors
Civil Supplies Corporation
Warehousing Corporation
They must ensure smooth procurement at MSP. He also warned that any negligence during procurement will lead to action against the responsible officers or employees.
The goal is to make sure every eligible farmer gets the right price on time without facing any trouble at procurement centers.
The government will select procurement centers keeping farmers’ ease in mind. Key decisions include:
Centers may be set up within warehouses or nearby premises for easy storage and transport.
In areas without warehouses, centers will be set up at committees or suitable locations.
The number of centers will depend on:
Total farmer registrations
Crop acreage
Previous year’s centers
The State Procurement Committee will finalize locations.

Gunny bag (jute sack) supply is a major part of the policy. The government has set clear rules:
Paddy:
46% old jute bags
54% new jute bags
Jowar & Millet:
100% new jute bags
Quality testing of grains is mandatory at procurement centers. Purchases will be made only as per the central government’s uniform quality standards (FAQ).
To avoid crowding and to ensure timely procurement, farmers must book a slot before arriving at the center.
The maximum quantity a farmer can sell will be calculated based on:
Crop acreage
Tehsil-wise productivity data recorded in the registration
Markets are strictly instructed not to buy FAQ-standard paddy, jowar, or millet below MSP.
Non-FAQ samples will be stored safely by the agricultural market.
Crops will be purchased at the MSP announced by the central government:
Crop | MSP (per quintal) |
Paddy – Common | ₹2,369 |
Paddy – Grade A | ₹2,389 |
Jowar – Maldandi | ₹3,749 |
Jowar – Hybrid | ₹3,699 |
Millet | ₹2,775 |
MSP ensures that farmers receive a minimum guaranteed price, giving them financial safety even if market prices fall.
The 2025–26 procurement policy places farmers at the center. By including:
Timely procurement
Slot booking
Transparent quality checks
Proper gunny bag arrangements
Convenient procurement centers
…the government aims to secure farmers’ income and strengthen the agricultural market system in Madhya Pradesh. This decision will support lakhs of farmers in both Rabi and Kharif seasons, ensuring fair prices and a smoother selling process.
