The Haryana government recently released the first installment under the Lado Laxmi Yojana, aimed at supporting women’s empowerment. While many women received the benefit, a large number are still waiting. Let’s understand what the scheme is, why some women haven’t received the money yet, and what steps they can take.

As part of the Haryana Day celebrations, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini transferred ₹2,100 each to the bank accounts of 5,22,162 eligible women through a remote button click. With this, a total of ₹109.65 crore was disbursed across the state. The government called this a major milestone in empowering women and promoting financial independence.
Out of 6.97 lakh women who applied for the Deendayal Lado Laxmi Yojana, only 5.22 lakh have received the first installment. The remaining 1.75 lakh women have not yet got the amount in their accounts. Many are wondering why the funds haven’t been transferred yet.
According to officials, the main reason for the delay is incomplete verification. The applications of these 1.75 lakh women are still under examination. Once their eligibility verification is done, the first installment will be transferred directly to their accounts.
Teams formed at the commissioner level have been instructed to complete this verification quickly to ensure that no eligible woman is left out.
Chief Minister Saini said, “Our goal is to ensure that every eligible woman receives her entitlement on time.”
The Lado Laxmi Yojana targets economically weaker women in Haryana. To qualify:
The applicant must be a resident of Haryana for at least 15 years.
The annual family income must be below ₹1 lakh.
The woman must be between 23 and 60 years of age.
Married, unmarried, and divorced women can all apply.
Women already receiving other pension benefits are not eligible.
Women suffering from serious illnesses like cancer (stage 3–4) or other rare diseases will receive additional financial assistance under the scheme.
To make the process simple, the government launched a mobile app on September 25, allowing women to apply directly from their phones.
Under the scheme, ₹2,100 is transferred directly to eligible women’s bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
For transparency, the government has made e-KYC and live photo verification mandatory for all applicants.

Women can easily check if they have received the money by using the mobile app:
Open the app and go to the “Track Application” section.
If the status shows “Completed” and ₹2,100, it means the amount has been transferred.
If not, it may mean the application is still under verification or Aadhaar e-KYC is incomplete.
If a woman’s payment is delayed or stuck, she can register her complaint through the “Complaint” option available in the mobile app.
According to the Chief Minister, once the verification and e-KYC (with live photo) are completed, the amount is usually transferred within 24–48 hours.
Interestingly, Chief Minister Saini revealed that around 20 lakh women are eligible for the scheme, but only 6.97 lakh have applied so far.
The reason behind this is misunderstanding among families—many believe that the amount received under this scheme will be added to their annual income and affect their ration card or other government benefits.
However, the Chief Minister clarified that this is not true, and benefits under the Lado Laxmi Yojana will not impact other entitlements.
To address this, the government plans to launch an awareness campaign to spread correct information and encourage more women to apply.
The state government aims to include all 20 lakh eligible women in the scheme. Officials have confirmed that the verification process for pending applications is being expedited.
The Chief Minister said the government’s top priority is to ensure no eligible woman is left out, and all pending beneficiaries will receive their first installment soon.
The Lado Laxmi Yojana is a landmark step by the Haryana government toward the economic and social empowerment of women.
While some beneficiaries are still waiting for their payments, the assurance of timely verification and financial support reflects the government’s commitment.
The scheme not only strengthens women’s financial security but also moves Haryana closer to becoming a model state for women’s empowerment.

The Lado Laxmi Yojana marks a strong step toward women’s empowerment in Haryana. The initiative promotes financial inclusion, transparency, and awareness, ensuring that every eligible woman receives support to improve her financial and social well-being.
