The Central Government of India has launched the Kisan Drone Yojana 2025 to promote smart and modern farming across the country. Under this scheme, farmers will receive up to 90% subsidy on agricultural drones and free pilot training to operate them. The move aims to reduce farming costs, enhance productivity, and support precision agriculture through drone technology.
The scheme has been introduced to help farmers:
Reduce manual labour
Lower pesticide and fertilizer use
Monitor crops and conduct surveys faster
Make farming more accurate and cost-efficient
The government is actively pushing to include advanced technologies like drones in agriculture, and this scheme is part of that vision.
Farmers, women farmers, and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) can avail of different subsidy levels:
Individual Farmers: 40%–50% subsidy
