Zen Mobility has introduced the Zen Micro Pod. Zen Mobility is based in Gurgaon. Zen Micro Pod is a cargo-specific three-wheeled Light Electric Vehicle (LEV).

The Zen Micro Pod is offered in two models: R5x and R10x. The company claims that with a maximum weight of 150 kilos, it outperforms traditional two-wheelers in load-carrying capability by over 2.5 times. The vehicle has a low operating cost, utilizing only four units of electricity and charging in around one and a half to two hours. The stated range is more than 1kilometres.

The Zen Micro Pod comes with a separate cargo box. Cargo boxes can be customized to match specific needs, including shelves, chilled boxes, open tubs, and more. To prevent theft, these storage units have a safe locking mechanism.

Zen Mobility has collaborated with leasing and rental firms, as well as fleet and third-party logistics (3PL) suppliers, to ensure the Zen Micro Pod's smooth implementation. It can be leased or rented on a monthly basis for a charge of up to Rs 9,999. Factors such as lease type, tenure, and other considerations will influence the leasing or rental fee.

Zen Mobility is largely aimed at the B2B market, with a particular emphasis on last-mile deliveries. Third-party logistics providers, last-mile service providers, e-commerce enterprises, and supermarket delivery companies are among the company's customers.

Zen Mobility has already received 10,000 orders from various businesses and has constructed a production line in Manesar with an annual capacity of 100,000 vehicles, according to a company statement. Mass production is set to begin in June 2023, and the corporation has the infrastructure in place to meet rising market demand.

In addition, the company has announced intentions to create the Zen Maxi Pod, a four-wheeled LEV designed for moving cargo and medium-to-large-sized goods. The Zen Maxi Pod is set to go on sale in FY25, with prototypes presently in the works. Customer trials are planned to begin in the third quarter of fiscal year 24.
